Indian Rosewood – Dalbergia sissoo

It’s a pleasant tree to look at because of the colour of its leaf – lime green or leaf green. Standing under its boughs with golden sunlight dappling through its leaves that gently wave in cool evening breeze – it is a sight for sore eyes. It’s a very common Indian tree but being common makes it easy to overlook it. But if you have an eye for its fresh green leaves then it’s surely a sight to behold. I have had often seen it in pavements and forest areas and loved its round fresh leaves waving in the wind, but I didn’t know its name earlier. But, these days whenever I come across a tree I try to make sure to take photo of it to look it up later and learn its name and other things about it. Because, a part of loving something is to know more about it, and then love it some more. <3
