Book Musings: Underland

Underland: A Deep Time Journey by Robert Macfarlane

I had bought this e-book in a sale a couple of years back but I deferred reading it because I don’t like reading longer books (more than 350 pages) in Kindle (I love holding fatter paperbacks, highlighting passages and placing post-it notes/page markers as I read along). But, now my unread list is getting shorter in Kindle and I decided it’s about time to start this one. And, now I am so glad I did (although, now I wish I had bought paperback instead – because there’s so much to highlight and stick markers to).

So far I have read till third chapter. I love reading books about history, rocks and minerals, trees and plants – and this book has checked all the boxes so far. I get this occasional push to read more definitive books on geology and botany, and books like these make my heart yearn to learn more about these. I will post a review once I have finished it and also update this post as I read along, but I just had to write a bit about it before making progress.
