350 – 24 – 24 Bird Photo Challenge

  • 350 Birding Africa mosaic gallery: On 24th October, 2009 over 170 bird photographers of South Africa went out to take snapshots of 350 species of wild birds in 24 hours. The mission was to create an awareness of bird diversity in nature and how climate change is affecting them, and the environment, in general. About 365 species were captured in shots in the time span of 24 hours and first 350 species were organised in the main mosaic gallery.
  • 350 Birding Africa overflow mosaic gallery: All of the pictures couldn’t fit in the main gallery. So, in order to showcase the rest of the pictures, an overflow gallery was created.

Beautifully-made plumages and thought provoking designs, birds truly inspire heartfelt affection.
